People really annoy me with the line of thinking that level 4 missions need nerfed. All you have to do is read a few pages of mission reports from eve-survival.org. The people that "breeze" through them are in billion dollar ships or more. People act like as soon as you learn the battleship skill for your race you can run out and solo level 4's all day making 20mil+ an hour.
That's pure fantasy. The reality of the situation is that you will need millions of skill points, hundreds of millions of isk, practice, and web pages with mission specific information if you simply want to survive the mission. I lost a mael in some pvp (was in a mission) fun the other day and tried to switch to a ship with less than 450 dps tank (for missioning) and it wasn't happening. You don't even have to read mission reports, read this forum. See what people suggest for missions. I once asked what someone ran for a l3 blitzer drake. They had tII everything. For level 3's FFS. Look at the suggested mael fits when people ask about them, they have t2 everything. A mael with T2 everything takes a long time to get. Thats not even a T2 ship like a lot of people use. A vargur setup costs billions, if it couldnt shred level 4's it would be a hella game imbalance.
The other problem is if someone did concentrate only on level 4 missioning skills, got that ganker with enough tank to survive level 4's and concentrated on nothing else, what would you have them do if you nerfed 4's? Have CCP a letter saying sorry we wasted a year of your life? We produced a game you wanted to play and liked, but changed it so that other people would feel better about themselves...
I can make 10 mil isk an hour mining hisec, missioning hisec, or ratting lowsec. I can get ganked doing any of the 3. I've lost the most ships missioning. It doesn't need nerfed in the slightest.

This is clearly a rage post because I lost my ship to a Lvl4 mission,
We lost around 1.5b worth of tower, fuel and modules total.
